Floating Reef
WORKINGSuspended biological structures support life and dangerous resource extraction.
FALL.BIO.REEF
Floating reefs are dense suspended biological structures containing habitat, food, shelter, nesting zones, gas-bearing organisms, predators, and valuable resources. They are ecological structures and industrial resource sites at the same time.
Risers enter reefs to harvest gases and materials. Extraction can destabilize organisms, rupture sacs, attract predators, or trigger falls. The reefs therefore connect biology directly to labor, economy, and mortality.
