FALL.ECO.WHALING The Sky People secretly harvest Air Whales. Lower societies are not aware of the true whaling industry. Whale-derived gases and biological materials are technologically important to upper civilization. Whale gas and reef/glider gases serve different specialized technological roles rather than a simple hierarchy in which whale gas is merely a better version of the same substance. The detailed resource taxonomy belongs to FALL-04. Whaling creates a central contradiction: cultures below revere the creatures while the civilization controlling ascent secretly exploits them. This contradiction becomes the immediate trigger of the protagonist's Fall.
