Air Whale

FALL.BIO.AIR-WHALE Air Whales are massive peaceful atmospheric organisms and one of the principal visual, ecological, cultural, and narrative icons of The Fall. Their bodies use large-scale buoyancy structures derived from the same multi-sac logic found elsewhere in the biosphere. Their canonical lifecycle is: high-altitude birth -> mass increase -> descent -> lower-world development -> gas-sac growth -> ascent -> high-atmosphere feeding -> reproduction -> offspring begin the cycle again. They feed on high-atmosphere krill or analogous microscopic atmospheric life. Their migrations can become enormous ecological events visible across cultures and altitudes. AIR WHALE CYCLE: FALL -> GROW -> RISE -> REPRODUCE -> FALL AGAIN Lower-world reverence for Air Whales is widespread, though interpretation varies by Tribe. They embody both descent and ascent rather than functioning as a simple symbol of upward success.
